Julian

Hi! I’m Julian, a funk-drumming, gospel-humming, barbershop-loving vocal coach.

As a vocal health specialist with a biopsychosocial approach, I work on fundamental functional principles based on how the body and mind work, to help demystify the voice.

Biopsychosocial is a long word that essentially means it’s all connected, our voice doesn't exist in isolation, lurking in our larynx.  What we think and feel affects our voice just as much as the physical, so we work to align, build and strengthen body, mind and voice.

I work collaboratively, wherever you are on your vocal journey, to help you express yourself in the way that works for you.

I aim for 5 things in every session:

  • For you to get more from your singing

  • For you to hear it

  • For you to feel it

  • For you to understand it

  • For you to have fun!

I have worked, trained and taken courses with world-class voice pedagogues and coaches, vocal health experts and manual therapists - and lovely human beings - including Stephen King, Dr Jenevora Williams, Walt Fritz PTDr Ian HowellKen BozemanKerrie Obert SLP, Dr Ingo Titze, Steve Scott and Rob Mance.
